The Senior Associate Design Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and testing of electronics components and systems. A Day In The Life
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) teams to identify, specify, and integrate electronic components in support of broader platform launches, including requirements analysis and system design.
- Support the design, development, testing, and validation of microcontroller-based PCBs, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired performance and functionality.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and specifications related to electrical designs, test outcomes, and project progress.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, electrical codes, and compliance standards in all phases of electrical system development.
- Contribute to research initiatives, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance performance or cost optimizations.
- Use problem‑solving skills to address issues and apply basic decision‑making skills within projects.
- Contribute to team objectives and outcomes as guided by leadership.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- One to three years of electrical engineering experience with a proven track record of success in design, development, and implementation (required).
- Proficiency in CAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit analysis, and simulation (required).
- Experience with test and measurement equipment, and methodologies for electrical systems.
- Experience with designing, manufacturing for regulatory (UL, CE, FCC, etc.) agencies.
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGAs, or embedded systems development.
- Experience with C/C++ and Python preferred.
