Senior Data Engineer - SAP BI
Senior Data Engineer – Aeronautics. This role is based in Airbus Helicopters, Albacete (Spain).
Responsibilities
Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, System Demos, Sprint Retrospectives) and collaborate within a cross‑functional Agile Team to deliver Definition of Done increments.
Design and develop complex data models within SAP BW (on HANA / BW/4HANA);
manage back‑end extractions (ABAP, CDS views), transformation logic, and optimize queries for large‑scale industrial datasets.
Build and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines in Palantir Foundry;
utilize PySpark and SQLto transform raw data into a structured ontology that powers operational decision‑making.
Ensure seamless data flow between the SAP landscape and the Palantir environment, maintaining high standards of data integrity and latency.
Apply DevOps and DataOps principles: perform peer code reviews, automated testing, and maintain technical documentation to ensure long‑term maintainability of the data platform.
Contribute to Enabler stories to improve the architectural runway of the Data Analytics platform.
Experience & Education
5 to 10 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, specifically focused on SAP BI and Palantir Foundry.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills (Hard Skills)
Extensive hands‑on experience with SAP BW;
proficiency in ABAP forETL, HANA Calculation Views and AMDP script.
Proven track record of developing in Palantir Foundry (Data Connection, Code Repos, Pipeline Builder, Workshop).
Advanced proficiency in Python (PySpark) and SQL.
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
