Business Controller
to act as the primary finance partner for our Construction Assurance and Engineering perimeter. This role sits at the heart of professional services delivered on assets under construction—an environment defined by long-duration projects, contract-level margin management, and strong WIP discipline. You will ensure full financial visibility, robust project economics, and rigorous execution across complex and long‑running engineering and construction projects.
To oversee financial performance across construction assurance and engineering project activities, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, margin control, and reliable forecasting while partnering closely with operational teams.
Project & Contract Controlling
Lead the end-to-end financial follow‑up of projects, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and margin analysis by project or contract.
Challenge operational assumptions that influence margins, forecasts, or contract performance.
Validate progress measurement to ensure alignment between project execution and financial recognition (including POC methodology).
Safeguard the integrity of project balances and margin evolution.
Budget & Forecast
Lead budget and forecast cycles for the perimeter, covering backlog evolution, resource consumption, margins, and project performance.
Consolidate operational inputs and ensure robust, data‑driven forecasting.
Provide insights and action-oriented analysis to improve financial performance.
8–12+ years in controlling, audit, or project finance.
~ Strong exposure to project‑based services, engineering environments, or construction/technical project ecosystems.
Solid knowledge of project economics, cost allocation, and revenue recognition (including Percentage of Completion – POC ).
Advanced Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
Familiarity with long-cycle project financials and WIP processes.
Strong business partnering mindset, able to challenge operational teams constructively.
Fluent English & Spanish (both required).
French or Portuguese are considered a plus.
