With almost 40+ years of legacy and operations spanning across the globe, they are recognized among the most iconic brands in their domain of business. As part of their aggressive growth plans in Philippines, which will be catalyzed by the sales/business development leader, they are looking for a Business Development professional to be based in Manila.
Job Description
Reporting to the Business Director, the role will
* Conduct comprehensive market research on brands, trends, and industry players to identify new business opportunities.
* Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and grow accounts.
* Create a detailed map of multinational and regional customers within a 200 km radius, covering food, dairy, and pharmaceutical sectors.
* Identify key competitors and analyze their strengths, weaknesses, customer base, and market share.
* Consistently meet and exceed sales targets by securing new business opportunities.
* Present product offerings and solutions to potential clients, emphasizing their value and benefits.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in rigid packaging materials and technologies.
* Provide technical support and guidance to clients on product selection and application.
* Manage project development and execution from start to finish.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., R&D, production, marketing) to provide customized solutions to clients.
* Handle contract negotiations with clients, securing favorable terms for the company.
* Address and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during contract execution.
* Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
* Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus.) The person will have 10-20 years of experience in sales and business development, ideally in the packaging industry. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets along with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills is key.
He/She would have handled rigid plastics products produced using Injection, ISBM, IBM and EBM processes or has strong understanding of rigid packaging materials, technologies, and applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
