WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll join our Design experts within the AI, Insights & Solutions team.
This multidisciplinary environment blends technical excellence with business acumen to help clients harness data and AI to create competitive advantage.
You'll work on integrated teams alongside our general consultants and clients to develop data-driven strategies and innovative solutions, fostering collaboration, learning, and exceptional results.

Discovery:
Help clients understand the business, user, and technology landscape.
Identify priorities and assess risks to generate a transformative path forward.
Ideation:
Use design principles to guide ideation, refine priorities, and focus on high-potential opportunities.
Design and Validate:
Create concept experiences and value propositions based on deep user ethnography; test customer desirability, viability, and feasibility.
Create and Launch:
Build experiences, products, services, and launch full-scale new businesses/models.
Scale:
Drive commercial growth of the corporate startup, product, or service.

Designers apply Design Thinking to reframe problems around users' needs, translating insights into opportunities for growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the full strategic design process hands-on to transform customer insights into opportunities for growth
Lead qualitative research and synthesize learnings from qualitative and quantitative sources into actionable insights and artifacts (e.g., personas, journey maps, opportunity maps)
Facilitate ideation workshops and creative sessions
Envision and conceptualize new business ideas and services with game-changing potential; tell the narrative and bring ideas to life
Iteratively design and refine solutions through prototyping (low- to high-fidelity)
Design and run experiments and pilots to validate/evaluate new products, services, or businesses
Work closely with project management to support cross-functional delivery and ensure AIS delivers high-impact results
Independently lead the design portion of project work; create design plans, identify priorities, and supervise junior designers
Build alignment on priorities and backlog; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (management consultants, data scientists, engineers, etc.)
Collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders (project team, client team, experts, partners)
Develop relationships with senior-level client stakeholders
Help to bring Bain to the next level as a business
Contribute to AIS branding and external marketing activities
Participate in recruitment of design talent across EMEA, with emphasis on growing the team in EMEA
Capture and share learnings to build the AIS knowledge base
Teach and transfer knowledge to Bain and client teams
Supervise junior design team members
Support client development for AIS (proposals and client relationship building) across Bain EMEA
Contribute to AIS culture and participate in team, office, or firm initiatives
ABOUT YOU
5-7 years of hands-on experience shaping digital products, services, and/or new ventures (or equivalent) in roles such as Service Designer, Value Proposition/Business Designer, or CX/Digital Product Designer
Strong understanding of Design Thinking and Agile methods
Skillset focused on strategic design, research, UX/UI, service design, omnichannel experience, and/or digital product design
Experience leading workstreams independently and mentoring junior designers
Comfort with the full design process from insights to prototyping
Fluency with collaboration and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Webflow, Adobe CS); exposure to GenAI Design tools
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in a dynamic environment
Travel up to 40% to client sites in the EMEA region
Fluency in Spanish and English is a mandatory requirement

Experience in a client services environment
Understanding of the role of design in influencing business strategy
Passion for expanding the Service Design practice and exploring trends such as GenAI, behavioral design, and immersive experiences
