Position Objective :
The Program Director of Perioperative Services, reporting to the Vice President of Clinical, provides strategic leadership and oversight for perioperative services, including Operating Rooms, Cystoscopy, Post Anaesthetic Recovery, Pre-operative Care, and Surgical Day Care. The Program Director ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care that complies with legal, regulatory, and professional standards, aligning with Humber River Health’s goals. Collaborating with the Chief/Physician Director, the Director sets the program’s strategic direction and promotes the integration of best practices.
Career Experience and Core Competencies :
* Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
* Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
* Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO).
* Clinical experience in acute care services.
* Minimum of five years management experience working with a medical dyad partner.
* Experience in business planning, resource management, program development, evaluation, and patient care services management.
