About The Position
We are looking for a Project Quality Leader in charge of quality of projects. As part of a project team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to quality requirements within the framework of the GE procedures and standards as well as contractual customer requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Project Launch:
Thoroughly read, understand, and analyze the Project Contract with respect to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) requirements. Communicate these requirements during function kick-off meetings to all stakeholders, define project-specific processes and documentation, consolidate lessons learned from previous projects to prevent issues, and prepare the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) with customer approval.
* Project Execution:
Ensure compliance with project processes/tools (PGR, PMR, R&O, DR, NCR, CoQ), coordinate and drive mitigation efforts, prepare ITP/ITPPs, coordinate quality inspections with customer and supply chain, oversee the project databook, and monitor metrics such as VoC, defect escape rates, and cost of non-quality;
lead the VoC process and address customer feedback.
* Site Preparation:
Adapt project best practices for site readiness, support the Site Leader/Manager in preparing resources, coordinate training, ensure qualifications, and provide essential information to the team.
* Site Execution:
Ensure activities comply with GE requirements, maintain valid documentation and control plan, oversee staff qualification and tool maintenance, perform process audits, manage document control and measurements, assess critical processes, ensure special process qualifications are up to date, and support documentation to protect GE in third-party claims. Ensure accurate final documentation from Red Mark to As-Built.
Required Qualifications
* Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)
* Experience:
Strong background in Quality, Project Management, or Site Operations with solid industrial knowledge in manufacturing environments (casting, forging, welded structures, machining, assembly)
* Demonstrated rigor in compliance, quality assurance, and EHS standards
* Language:
Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
* Knowledge of other languages would be a plus (French or German)
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
ability to influence others and lead small teams
* Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact;
