Disaster Recovery Analyst (Boadilla/Cantabria/Málaga)

Disaster Recovery Analyst at Santander Digital Services (SDS), based in Boadilla/Cantabria/Málaga office.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain a specific production system/platform.
* Schedule and execute critical tasks, provide technical support during critical incidents, and organize training for internal platform users.
* Support the delivery of Santander UK’s (and additional entities’) Disaster Recovery planning, including solution design, delivery, and testing.
* Maintain robust communication with key stakeholders such as Santander’s Platforms & Digital Delivery teams, PMO, CIOs, Enterprise Architecture, 3rd‑party vendors, and the Bank.
* Coordinate quarterly review and update of IT Disaster Recovery documentation, including exercise task lists and workplace recovery plans.
* Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain protection services and products.
* Work with Disaster Recovery software to render documents and validate that all critical recovery information is current and maintained in supported DR tools.
* Facilitate and coordinate quarterly reviews, updates, and sign‑offs to ensure completion of critical recovery documentation of infrastructure in line with corporate policies, standards, and procedures.
* Perform implementation tasks for recovery environments, execution of tests, and design tasks for system and network recovery environments.
* Provide additional support functions as assigned.
Experience
* At least 3 years of experience with Disaster Recovery.
Education
* University degree in technology, preferably in computer science.

* Strong technical background in Intel hardware.
* Virtualization Platforms.
* Database Infrastructure.
* Data centre infrastructure and configuration.
* Open systems expertise.
* High Availability Techniques.
* Capacity and performance considerations.
* Storage Area Networks and Backend Storage.
* Networks, Firewalls and Internet Security.
* Cloud-based technology including voice delivery and storage.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and Project for creating tables, presentations and reports.
