Job Description
We have a vacancy for an FTI Architecture & Equipment specialist in Getafe within Airbus Defence & Space. The successful applicant will join the Engineering Area in the Flight & Integration Test Centre.
Responsibilities
The mission of Flight Tests Instrumentation Architecture & Equipment is to provide Flight Test Means to gather data from the test object (on A/C) for further evaluation.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Laboratory activities: planning, stock control, logistics (reception and delivery of materials)
- Harness manufacturing for testing equipment, based on standard FTI documentation & procedures
- Racks harnesses manufacturing and routing, based on standard FTI documentation & procedures
- Basic tests to be performed on FTI equipment
- Support to advanced tests such as sensor calibrations or intensive ATP to complex equipment
- Procurement
- Investigations/analysis of problems; troubleshooting to identify root cause
- Basic repairs of electronic devices
- Development and manufacturing of PCB
- Documentation of acceptance and verification tests of FTI equipment and FTI systems
- Support internal initiatives for the use of AI to improve business applications and products oriented to FTI laboratory activities
Required Skills
- Educated to medium degree level in electronics and/or telecommunications
- Demonstrated previous experience in testing activities
- Deep knowledge of testing laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.)
- Knowledge of flight test devices, including sensors
- Experience with radio‑frequency chain (transmitters, cabling, calibration and operation)
- Understanding of WAN/LAN protocols stack (TCP/UDP, IP, PTP, SNMP, Ethernet, etc.)
- Experience with network simulation & analysis tools (Wireshark, IPerf, etc.)
- Familiarity with documentation and tools such as A/C installation documents, NRD, A400M FTI block diagrams, drawing information sheets, FTI data sheets, Sabre, Sabre Criev, STILO, N‑Show, RODAS, EPD, TLB, FTI databases, FIDA, ICS, DOORS
- Knowledge of Click & Buy tool and Export Control process desirable
- High ability to understand and diagnose electronic devices and digital protocols
- Team spirit to work as part of a multidisciplinary team (sometimes under pressure)
- Proactive in finding problems and proposing solutions
- Methodical, organized, and assertive profile expected
- English level required
