Overview
As a Business Analyst / API Developer in our organization, your primary mission will be to collaborate with various teams to define insurance business logic and apply governance processes and principles. You will design standard APIs for different functional domains such as quotation, new business, post‑sales, claims, billing and collection, people, commissions, agents’ management, reinsurance, coinsurance and renewals.
Responsibilities
* Design standard APIs for functional domains including quotation, new business, post‑sales, claims, billing and collection, people, commissions, agents’ management, reinsurance, coinsurance, and renewals.
* Align requirements from the different International Business Units with the ILOM systems standards.
* Engage in day‑to‑day design activities using the latest Microsoft technologies.
* Participate in solution design, concept visualization and the definition and documentation of functional and technical requirements.
* Integrate technical functionality such as scalability, security, performance, data recovery and reliability.
* Produce and enforce functional development standards.
* Maintain a corporate repository of all business architecture artifacts and procedures.
* Assess technical implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, best practices and corporate policies.
* Recommend solutions to improve new and existing IT systems.
* Demonstrate deep knowledge of integration platforms, integration patterns, modern front‑end frameworks and engagement platforms.
* Show strong knowledge of technical system architecture.
Qualifications
* Experience developing and leading technology engagement.
* 8 or more years of experience in different insurance business lines.
* Experience designing APIs for functional domains such as quotation, new business, post‑sales, claims, billing and collection, people, commissions, agents’ management, reinsurance, coinsurance and renewals.
* Experience architecting solutions using the Microsoft .NET framework, modern front‑end frameworks (React, Vue, …) and cloud capabilities.
* Experience in Web Content Management Systems, Web Commerce, Email Marketing and Web Analytics.
* Experience in Azure DevOps, Git, Microsoft Visual Studio 2018.
* Excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server‑side, QA, security by design, etc.).
* Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high‑quality software against aggressive schedules.
