Role Purpose
LRQA Inspection Iberia, SA is a leading company in the equipment inspection and certification industry, operating across diverse markets with national and international accreditations such as CE Marking, UKCA Marking, and ASME. The purpose of this role is to evaluate the design, manufacturing, and in-service conditions of engineering assets in accordance with established Codes, Standards, specifications, and procedures. This assessment will be conducted using relevant expertise and knowledge, primarily focused on routine inspection scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To perform assessments of different products for service delivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
2. To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in a defined format.
3. To discuss/present the deliverable with the external client and be able to assess alternative solutions where appropriate.
4. Undertake routine administration as required in line with current digital processes and procedures.
5. To assess/ recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and LRQA standard terms and conditions.
6. To pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
7. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
8. To give technical guidance to other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.
9. To assist in service delivery improvement by communicating to internal/external client feedback as appropriate.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
10. Academic degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
11. Minimum of years of experience in inspection or manufacturing of pressure equipment.
Skills & Competencies:
12. Ability to retain and manage current customers.
13. Effective management of work in progress.
14. Strong communication skills to explain the company’s value proposition.
15. High proficiency in using office computer tools.
16. Strong predisposition and willingness to adopt and use new technology.
17. Good level of English proficiency (verbal and written).
Preferred / Additional Training:
18. Certification or training in Welding (, IWE).
19. Knowledge of Materials science and technology.
20. Expertise in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
21. Familiarity with Pressure Equipment standards and regulations.
22. Experience in conducting Audits.
23. Knowledge of ASME codes and standards.
24. Experience or background in the Nuclear sector.
