Context And Mission
The applicant will lead development of a workflow for urgent seismic risk assessment, as well as that of stochastic methods for simulating seismic catalogs
Key Duties
* Management of a work package in a large EU project
* Developing components of urgent computing platform for earthquakes
* Integrating ML/NN applications into existing seismology workflows
Requirements
* Education
o PhD in natural sciences topics, related to earthquakes
o BSc in sciences (physics, geophysics, mathematics...)
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
o 3 year experience in seismology
o 3 year experience in geophysical applications based upon modelling
* Competences
o English and Spanish languages
o Programming skills in Python and Julia
o Experience in Data Analytics (ML, NN and the like)

* The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department
