About Juan Torres Master Distillers
Juan Torres Master Distillers is the spirits division of Familia Torres. Its origins date back to 1928 when Juan Torres Casals of the family’s second generation began making aged brandies matured in oak casks; smooth and aromatic spirits distilled from a selection of the finest white Penedès (Barcelona) wines. With more than 90 years to its name, Juan Torres Master Distillers continues to perfect the art of distillation to this day – a constant pursuit of excellence that finds reflection in each one of its exquisitely crafted spirits, including brandy, whisky, pisco, vermouth and orange liqueur produced under the brands Torres Brandy, Liathmor, El Gobernador, Casals and Magdala. These elegant, personality-driven spirits find their perfect match in the world of mixology, where they live up to the expectations of a new consumer who delights in shared moments of superior quality.
The position
Based in Barcelona and reporting to Spirits Regional Manager Europe the Area Manager’s main responsibility is to represent and sustainably grow Juan Torres Master distillers portfolio in the developing European markets, which represents an important future growth driver for the spirit business unit.
He/she will be leading the development and the execution of the business and marketing plans.
He/She will be working in conjunction with our exclusive distributors in Europe (Germany, UK, Baltics….), to effectively communicate priorities, allocate resources and share strategic insights to maximize the brand value over time.
He/she will be working closely and in coordination with the Spirits Marketing Global team as well as the rest of the spirits commercial team.
Responsibilities
* Monitor the market distribution ensuring the collaboration with the best possible partner.
* Actively participate in the yearly business and marketing plan development for the growth of its strategic brands in every market.
* Assures supplier’s priorities and resources are well communicated to the distributors.
* Act as the key contact with the distributors and their teams by providing needed resources and information in a timely manner, while building harmonious, value-based, long-term business relationships.
* Find new opportunities in existing or new markets.
* Monitor sales and profit for portfolio in the European markets while completing management reports, KPIs and business plans.
* Establish and manage pricing strategy as well as market’s A&P.
* Effectively collaborate with colleagues in other departments (Sales, Finance, Marketing) to achieve business objectives.
* Acts as a Torres ambassador in the markets with customers, consumers and industry events.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing specialization or equivalent.
Requirements
* At least five (5) years of experience in sales, Key account management or marketing with strong sales profile. Experience in FMCG and international sales & Marketing through distributors/importers.
* Full proficiency of English and Spanish (C2). Any other language is a plus.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to adapt to different cultures.
* Knowledge and passion for Spirits and Wines.
* Availability to travel (around 35%).
