About the job : For our growing Automotive division in Azuqueca de Henares (Spain), we are looking for a Senior Commodity Manager Plastics EMEA / APAC. Reporting to the Senior Director Procurement Automotive, your mission will be to lead the procurement strategy and supplier management for plastic components.
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
* Manage commodity spend of approximately €60 million.
* Define and implement the commodity strategy.
* Generate cost improvements across the commodity.
* Lead cross-functional and cross-entity teams to implement sourcing projects following the defined strategy.
* Support change management initiatives.
* Identify, qualify, and develop new suppliers.
* Drive innovation, change, and efficiency; lead or support related initiatives.
* Manage key suppliers as the key account manager for Exide.
* Maintain a price tracker and lead supplier performance management within the commodity.
* Uphold internal and external policies, regulations, and laws.
And the principal tasks?
* Develop and execute purchasing strategies for the plastics category.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
* Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and other improvements.
Strategic Coordination: End-to-end ownership and management of the plastics commodity, fostering cross-functional alignment with Project Management, R&D, Product Owners, Finance, and other supporting functions. Collaborate closely with the Strategic Project Manager to ensure alignment with the overall plastics commodity strategy. Participate in defining strategic projects for the company, including identifying necessary investments.
