Responsibilities
As a Quantitative Analyst, you will need strong analytical skills and an interest in the energy sector to impact a dynamic environment. You will join the Energy Management team to support growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and implement energy sales strategy optimization and hedging policies to enhance profits and mitigate risks.
2. Design and develop algorithms and models to evaluate portfolio performance under market conditions.
3. Create and maintain quantitative models for risk, pricing, forecasting, and optimization of gas and renewable assets.
4. Work with risk management to develop models for market, credit, and counterparty risks.
5. Manage the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, ensuring model integration for real-time analysis.
6. Identify opportunities for data automation to improve trading and risk management efficiency.
7. Back-test strategies and analyze their performance.
8. Develop tools for portfolio analysis, visualization, and reporting of P&L and risk metrics.
9. Monitor data automation processes and seek improvements.
10. Support Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) structuring, fuel procurement, and hedging strategies with data insights.
Requirements
1. Academic background in a quantitative field.
2. 1-4 years of experience in energy management, trading, or consulting roles as a quantitative analyst.
3. Knowledge of revenue structures for gas and renewable assets; advanced modeling skills.
4. Experience with analytical systems development and support.
5. Advanced Excel skills, including macros, VBA, and custom functions.
6. Data visualization experience (Power BI) and proficient in presentation tools (PowerPoint).
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
9. Understanding of the energy business and trading concepts.
10. Self-motivated with adaptability to changing priorities.
