We are currently seeking an experienced Project and Team Manager to support our US clients from our Madrid office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of project management expertise, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage client expectations.
Please note: This role requires native English language ability as well as high fluency in Spanish. After an initial training period, the role will also work unconventional hours from 11:00 to 20:00 (11 am to 8 pm with a one-hour lunch break), Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the team of project managers responsible for day-to-day project delivery. Partner with internal Sigma resources to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and at a high level of quality.
2. Project Planning and Execution: Coordinate with clients and internal teams on project deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for multiple concurrent projects.
3. Task Assignment and Monitoring: Understand overarching team workload, assign or reallocate PMs to projects, and monitor progress to ensure timely and high-quality completion. Clearly communicate project expectations, provide necessary resources and support, and foster a collaborative remote working environment.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal stakeholders, clients, and PMs. Proactively identify and address potential risks, issues, and changes, ensuring all parties are informed.
5. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards and client expectations. Provide constructive feedback to PMs to drive continuous improvement.
6. Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues proactively, develop mitigation plans, and effectively resolve challenges to keep projects on track.
7. Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities with agility and resourcefulness. Develop creative solutions to overcome obstacles.
8. Performance Management: Monitor the performance of PMs, provide regular feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and engagement.
9. Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, status, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
1. Native English speaker with a high level of Spanish language proficiency.
2. Able to work weekdays from 11:00 to 20:00.
3. Demonstrated success in managing and motivating global or distributed teams.
