Overview
Software Development Team Leader to join our Tech Hub in Madrid. We are looking for a highly driven, talented and experienced Engineer who can manage and develop a high-performance software development team.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams (including Product Owners, Technical Leads, Software Quality Engineers, etc.), ensuring continuous growth and delivery excellence.
* Foster the creation of best-in-class teams, products and solutions through leadership, technical expertise, experience and strategic vision.
* Support teams in resolving cross-functional dependencies and challenges, enabling smooth collaboration across teams.
* Take full ownership of your domain, including solutions design, delivery, service operations and budget management, leveraging your teams’ performance.
* Establish and nurture strong relationships with business stakeholders across multiple countries, supporting and helping the teams in effective communication and stakeholder management.
* Work closely with Product Owners to understand, rationalise and prioritise business needs, aligning them with IT budget and strategic goals.
* Oversee external providers, fostering strategic partnerships and driving win-win outcomes.
* Lead innovation initiatives across teams, solutions, and geographies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
* Empower teams to deliver scalable, multi-country solutions that comply with global IT architectural standards.
* Actively contribute to shaping and evolving the IT organisation, collaborating with peers to drive transformation and excellence.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical field.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
* Leading software development teams working under Scrum methodology.
* Experience as a Software Engineer developing clean code. Previous experience as a PO or Scrum Master will be highly valued.
* Strong technical and non-technical stakeholder management skills in multi-country environments.
* Proficiency in agile methodologies.
* Capacity planning and resource management expertise.
* Highly organized and methodical;
comfortable navigating uncertainty and dynamic environments.
* Proactive and self-driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing business priorities.
Location
The role will be located in Madrid.
