Position Summary:
The Regional Access Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing regional and national access strategies for our medicines in Italfarmaco's Rare Diseases area, ensuring their access in the Autonomous Communities and Hospitals in their assigned zone. This key role will work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (medical, commercial, marketing, etc.) to identify access barriers, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure favorable outcomes for patients and the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategic regional access plans, aligned with national plans and health policies.
* Lead regional and national access projects, collaborating with internal teams, external teams, regional health services, scientific societies, etc.
* Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the healthcare system at regional and national levels (General and Deputy General Directorates of Pharmacy of the Autonomous Communities, hospital managements, hospital pharmacy, scientific societies, etc.).
* Implement national funding agreements in their regions, thereby monitoring the established agreements – (Demonstrable experience in this type of agreement is essential).
* Monitor the national and regional access environment, anticipating changes and developing proactive strategies.
* Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Candidate Specifications:
* Education:
Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences:
Pharmacy, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, or similar.
* Additional Training:
* Master's in Health Economics, Institutional Relations, or similar.
Professional Experience:
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Regional Access Manager (RAM) in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Key Account Manager (KAM) in pharmacies or hospital/healthcare settings.
* Demonstrated experience in national-level access positions.
* Previous experience working with rare diseases.
* Demonstrable experience in the development and follow-up of innovative agreements at regional and hospital levels.
Skills and Competencies:
* Deep knowledge of the healthcare system and access and reimbursement processes in Spain and assigned regions.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
