As an Apprentice Thermal Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs of VERTIV UPS, battery power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. You will be required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent relations with all customers, salespeople, distributors, and others within the area.
Responsibilities:
Respond professionally to all assigned service calls during duty hours.
Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual.
Perform all work safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established procedures.
Keep the Dispatching Team informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors.
Submit weekly paperwork accurately and timely; debrief performed jobs at customer premises if applicable.
Keep company vehicle clean, neat, and properly maintained.
Report and promote sales or service leads to the appropriate department.
Attend customer meetings as required.
Serve as a reference point for key customers in emergencies and troubleshooting.
Be available to work during weekends and nights in compliance with local labor laws.
Work closely with the department supervisor on daily operational duties.
Comply with the Company's ITC policy.
Attend environmental and waste management trainings as required by local legislation and company procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Secondary school diploma or university degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Basic proficiency in English.
Minimum 4 years of experience in technical service, working with UPS equipment.
Computer literate.
Valid driving license, with availability for travel, including weekends (often scheduled with short notice).
Occasional heavy lifting (up to 30 kg).
