Job Description:
Vantage has an open Account Manager opportunity currently in the Europe region. This is a key role on an established sales team. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic professional with a proven track record in chemical sales. The role is based remotely, supporting European accounts, focusing on Spanish, French, and German customers.
Position Scope: This role is responsible for sales and gross margin growth of assigned segments, customers, and territories. You will develop account strategies, manage key accounts, and contribute to business strategy and financial success. The position involves extended hours, working well under pressure, and an intense pace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Create, manage, and attain sales and gross margin targets.
* Build and develop new and existing accounts, managing sales opportunities in line with strategies.
* Engage with the Vantage Commercial Excellence Program to develop strategies, create pre-call plans, and manage opportunities using CRM.
* Resolve customer issues to maintain trust.
* Prepare call reports, forecasts, and quarterly presentations.
* Provide feedback on product performance, customer opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
* Assist with collection activities in coordination with accounting and customer service.
Desired Background: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a business field with technical understanding and relevant commercial experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Talents:
* Knowledge of principles and methods for selling products or services, including marketing strategies and sales techniques.
* Ability to research and develop current and prospective customers.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and internet research.
* Willingness to travel 50% or more, including day and overnight trips.
