Description
As Business Controller in the Northern Europe Hub (NEH) team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and standardizing the financial management and compliance of our operations across the region with initial focus in one of our markets. Reporting directly to the CFO for NEH, and based in our Global Capability Center (GCC), you will lead the IBP support teams, providing strategic financial guidance and operational support to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and oversee financial planning and budgeting processes for the NEH, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with COF for NEH and key stakeholders to implement financial strategies supporting business growth and profitability.
3. Oversee forecasting, financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis for the NEH, providing insights to optimize performance.
4. Serve as strategic business partner to NEH Leadership Team, offering financial expertise for decision-making and operational excellence.
5. Lead transition in specialized Controlling activity, standardizing processes across countries and fostering synergy in the NEH Region.
6. Mentor IBP support team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
7. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, conducting audits as necessary and driving process improvements for enhanced effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications
8. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional finance qualification is preferred.
9. Proven experience in a similar finance management role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
10. Strategic mindset, with the ability to think analytically and provide actionable insights to support decision‐making.
11. In‐depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
12. Business partnering, strategic financial advice, and hands‐on to get into the details if needed.
13. Robust analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
14. Strong team player and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with flexibility and the ability to engage
15. with stakeholders at all levels, deal with ambiguity and work in matrix organizations.
16. Fluency in English, other European languages are a plus
