The Construction Schedule Management Group oversees the planning, compliance and progress of the General Contractor schedules. Inclusive in this is oversight of governance and compliance to improve Data Center Construction predictability across our integral build portfolio. We utilize tools such as Master Schedules, Risk Framework, Quality Checklists and Schedule Health Scorecards, and are hands-on with the PMs in the field, and with the General Contractor with our tools and analysis. This results in Schedule Predictability driving overall delivery efficiencies. The Construction Planning/Scheduler will support the EMEA Planning Lead and DCD Project Managers by providing project level schedule analytics and audits. You will be responsible for management and analysis of construction schedules and milestones at the project and program level. This includes working closely with our General Contractors and vendor teams, collecting and analyzing schedule data and reporting to management on issues, risks and opportunities found in the construction schedules while driving schedule opportunities, processes, maintaining reporting and driving project deliverables according to a set cadence and rhythm of business. You will be involved in developing Integrated Master Schedules with various Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) teams to support early campus planning.Responsibilities:Planning- Help develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) including timelines and dependencies for large-scale datacenter construction projects- Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time. - Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues. - Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations. - Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectivenessRFP & Baseline ManagementFacilitate and support the development of a detailed Project Schedule along with project team, GC and Sub-Contractor vendorsWork closely with the Regional Planning Lead to ensure the Baseline Schedule provided by the GC meets the standards and requirements defined within the DIV1 SpecificationComplete the Baseline Evaluation process and provide recommendations to the DCD PMCarry out the RFP Schedule Evaluations and provide evaluation narrative and scores to the DCD PMSchedule Analysis and ReportingFacilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews onsite with GC schedule teams to analyze and validate progress onsiteProactively analysis project schedules by; comparing cost/resourcecurves to actuals, tracking float consumption, perform schedule integrity (health) checks, carry-out delay impact analysis, monitor monthly performance and carry out variance analysis supporting Baseline Management and Change Control processes throughout the Project LifecycleCarry out and communicate Schedule Time Impact Assessments of schedule delay events and recommend mitigation strategies to recover and/or control the impactsEnsure GC compliance with MSFT Monthly and Weekly reporting cadence and Rhythm of Business requirementsEvaluate GC Weekly and Monthly Schedule Reports, validate progress, review insights EPC PMs and provides feedback and recommendations to GC where necessaryValidate schedule updates along with a narrative for submission to the project team and MSFT stakeholdersIdentify and mitigate threats to the project's schedule and initiate corrective actions through field staffAnalyze resource loading and recommend adjustments / corrective action as appropriateAssess impacts of design and/or LLE changes and provide recommendations to mitigate/recover the scheduleProvide final review of schedules for estimating as requestedCollaborationSupport Collaborative Planning workshops by using the Schedule to help facilitate planning, coordination, and accurate progress reportingInterface with site management regarding critical schedule activities, change, impacts to schedule, change orders, project progress, and claims analysisProvide planning and schedule management support to DCD PMs, MSFT stakeholders, project teams and Redmond-based hubSupport the Regional and Global Scheduling Leads with the formulation, implementation and ongoing development of scheduling processes and proceduresRhythm of BusinessAdhere to MSFT Rhythm of Business deliverables for your projectReview and evaluate GC Schedule submittalsComplete on-time Month End Project reports and review with EPC PMReview Month End Project Report and evaluation findings with the GC and follow up on action itemsSupport the Regional Schedule Lead in preparing for Monthly Regional ReviewMinimum requirementsRequired:5+ years of experience in construction project management and planning5+ years of experience in planning medium sized capital projects in data center, oil and gas or chemicals (or related process industry). This experience should specifically include engineering and procurement, with specific examples of integrated construction planningExcellent understanding of Project Planning, Earned Value Management and Key Commodity TrackingExcellent skills in project planning software, such as P6 and/or MS ProjectFamiliarity with Risk Schedule AnalysisAbility to analyze EPC plans/schedule and provide deep insights into trends, issues, mitigationsGood verbal, written communication skills both in Spanish and EnglishStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectivelyStrong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workExperience in managing teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional groupsAvailability to be on site at least 4 days a week (reallocation to Zaragoza needed).Preferred:Deep knowledge of P6, MS Project, other schedule health analysis toolsStrong familiarity with CPM scheduling methodologyAbility to present data from a detailed to high-level depending on audienceExperience with Data Center construction programs
