Job Description
Our client, a leader in the global healthcare sector, is seeking a Direct Procurement Business Process Analyst to join their Care Enablement (Manufacturing) team. Client wants someone who will serve as the Process Architect, responsible for optimizing current procurement processes and shaping the future state of their global template for Direct Procurement (Req2PO). Your focus will be on ensuring seamless integration between Source-to-Pay (STP) and key functions such as Plan-to-Make, Quote-to-Cash, and Supply Chain Planning. You will analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and drive process improvements to support a smooth transition to a new ERP system. This position requires a proactive problem‐solver who can collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to design and implement scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
This is a contractual role which will run through 2026. The candidate must be flexible to work in the client's preferred time‐zone, which may include EST or CEST.
The Role
Process Analysis & Optimization:
Conduct in‐depth analysis of current Manufacturing Direct Procurement processes, including Bill of Materials (BOM) management, receiving, and inventory control.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in policy, process, controls, and technology.
Develop and implement quick‐win initiatives, such as data cleanup and procedural updates, to streamline operations ahead of the S/4HANA migration.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Assess and enhance process controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with global standards.
Standardize procedures to promote consistency across regions, categories, and user groups.
Future‐State Design & Integration:
Design and deploy a global Direct Procurement template that integrates seamlessly with Plan-to-Make and Quote-to-Cash functions.
Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and process narratives, to reflect standardized system logic.
Resolve complex design challenges, balancing global standardization with practical usability for manufacturing operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management:
Partner with cross‐functional teams, including Supply Chain Planners, Manufacturing Site Teams, and IT, to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for manufacturing‐specific scenarios, such as subcontracting and consignment.
Act as a key driver for the Direct Material stream, ensuring timely execution, risk escalation, and stakeholder readiness.
Provide training and support to operational teams to facilitate smooth process adoption.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Procurement Operations, or related fields
Deep knowledge of P2P processes, ERP systems, workflow tools, and invoice automation
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable improvements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing decision‐making
Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Signavio) and root‐cause analysis methodologies
Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement frameworks is a plus
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives, such as automation, workflow redesign, or AI/ML applications
Fluency in English (advanced level); additional languages are beneficial
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in change management, training, or process governance
Background in global or complex organizational settings
