TBSCG’s engineering & Cloud practice is scaling rapidly, and we’re seeking an architect ready to own solution-level decisions, beyond just implementation.
You will lead Commercetools and Fluent Commerce builds for global brands, working with peers who specialize in composable architectures.
Note : The role operates on US time zones.
Responsibilities :
* Architect and deliver cloud-native services and integrations across Commercetools, Fluent Commerce, and Cybersource, using TypeScript / Node.js and event-driven patterns.
* Design APIs and events to support omnichannel customer journeys.
* Lead technical discovery sessions with client architects and TBSCG product teams.
* Promote engineering best practices—code quality, observability, automated testing, and documentation.
* Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to our internal best-practice playbooks.
Required Skills and Experience :
* Proven experience with Commercetools solutions in production environments.
* Hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce (or similar OMS) and payment gateways.
* Strong skills in TypeScript / Node.js; experience with serverless runtimes (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions) and event buses (SNS / SQS, Pub / Sub, EventBridge).
* Deep understanding of microservices, API-first, and headless architectures.
* Experience with CI / CD tools (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitOps).
* Knowledge of GraphQL, Next.js / React front-ends.
* Experience integrating with Headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentstack, Contentful).
* Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration for custom workloads.
