Role summary:
Reporting to the Regional Accounting Manager, this position will coordinate with the Shared Services Center and other corporate departments, the bookkeeping and review of financial statements and the preparation of financial reports, as well as compliance with all legally required accounting, tax and regulatory obligations. Additionally, this role is meant to provide support to:
1. Cost Accounting Department in accounting matters, the correct classification of financial statements in US GAAP and local GAAP.
2. The Regional Accounting Manager and the SOX Coordinator in internal controls issues throughout the Region.
You role:
Key individual responsibilities
3. For all Spanish and foreign entities under its supervision in coordination with the Business Services Centre and other corporate departments:
4. Ensure compliance with US GAAAP regulations and Flowserve's policies required for timely and accurate reporting to de Group
5. Ensure compliance with local statutory laws and regulations, and Flowserve's Code of Ethical Business Conduct.
6. Preparation of Company's annual accounts in accordance with local legislation.
7. Ensure that all financial data is accurate, complete, and submitted in accordance with Flowserve's corporate calendar.
8. Ensure that local statutory and legal requirements, as well as Corporate and fiduciary matters are diligently complied.
9. Provide information and analysis to business management, including recommendations for decision-making.
10. Provide analysis and input for the business planning and forecasting process.
11. Review the reconciliations of trial balance accounts.
12. Work with external auditors to ensure that all data required for the audit are available timely.
13. Prepare supporting documentation as required by tax regulations.
14. Ensure that internal controls are carried out in accordance with SOX regulations in coordination with internal auditors and Cost Accounting Department.
15. Provide support to the Regional Accounting Manager and SOX Coordinator on SOX internal controls issues throughout the Region.
16. Provide support to Cost Accounting Department.
Key shared responsibilities
17. Coordination with Finance Business Partners, CSOF, Production, Quality and other stakeholders at Site for accurate accounting and neat financial statements.
18. Support internal and external auditors.
19. Provide financial information and analysis to management and associates.
20. Provide support to various entities in the Region.
21. Coordination with BSC for accurate accounting and neat financial statements.
22. Support, coordinate and act as a "key user" (expert) in the implementation of new systems.
23. Support the Regional Accounting Manager and SOX Coordinator in internal controls issues in the Region.
Your profile:
24. Bachelor’s degree in economics, bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
25. Proven experience of at least 4 years in a similar position, preferably in audit/consultancy firms.
26. Master's degree in auditing, accounting or similar.
27. Proven experience preparing financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, report and management report) in a multinational industrial company.
28. Proven experience in the preparation of Corporate Income Tax and VAT.
29. Fluency in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
30. Good knowledge of the Revenue Recognition Policy (ASC606)
31. High proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel
32. Ability to work independently and in a team with good analytical, communicative and interpersonal skills.
33. Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
34. Solid experience and knowledge in the management of interfaces between ERPs.
35. Ability to adapt to change and search for the best solutions/processes proactively (continuous improvement).
36. Knowledge of SOX controls.
Other Key Competencies:
Because the position will be responsible for several companies and the coordination of activities with the Business Services Center located in Hungary and will support the Regional Accounting Manager and SOX Coordinator throughout the Sites in the Region, availability to travel regularly, including trips abroad, is indispensable.
