Overview:
As a Fashion designer, you will be responsible for leading the creative direction and design process for our fashion brand. You will collaborate closely with the design team, as well as other departments such as marketing, production, and sales, to ensure our collections meet both creative and commercial objectives. This role requires a keen eye for trends, strong design skills, and the ability to translate concepts into innovative and marketable fashion pieces.
Responsibilities:
* Creating strong collections according to the direction set out by the Creative director across a different range of categories.
* Working closely with other members of design teams on creating and developing new seasonal collections.
* Proposing new emerging stylistic trends, extensively research creative ideas and provide design inputs to develop and refine seasonal concept.
* Participating in design process from research stage, color and material choice through to drawings and development of mock-ups.
* Working on exciting new projects, capsule collections, collaborations, and Custom looks for VIPs.
* Conducting fabric and material research, collaborating with fabric agents and other suppliers.
* Participating in meetings and fittings, maintaining a good working process with cross functional partners and product development.
* Making tech packs in a detailed, organized and clear manner for factory sample making.
* Following seasonal and time calendars, ensuring that the category meets deadlines.
Requirements:
* Previous experience (minimum 2 years) as a Fashion Designer
* Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative designs, technical skills, and understanding of fashion trends.
* Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Spanish and English.
* Strong taste level and research skills, understanding of Gimaguas brand aesthetic
* Being a team player
* Good sketching skills, understanding and sense of proportions, shape, color and material.
* Ability to drape new interesting silhouettes as well as creating new finishings.
* Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience developing product directly with factories: understanding of development from concept through engineering.
* Willingness to take on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities
