Performs duties in research and development including the ability to perform basic lab techniques and good laboratory documentation practices. /pp Main Responsibilities: /pulli Performs laboratory procedures and experiments /lili Communicates problems and progress to supervisor /lili May select appropriate experimental and analytical methods and define protocols /lili Schedules own tasks and activities in accordance with assignments and priorities /lili Detects deviations in results and/or potential problems, may recommend modification in protocols or standard methodology to define the causes of deviations and overcome problems. /lili Under the supervision and approval of his/her supervisor, writes laboratory procedures and understands existing Procedures and Methods /lili Compiles experimental data, performs calculations and prepares graphs to present and discuss them to his/her supervisor /lili Writes research papers, reports, reviews, and technical summaries /lili Monitor electronic or paper laboratory notebook making sure that all data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines and procedures /li /ulp Required Skills / Knowledge: /pulli Required: Bachelor's degree in the biological or related sciences. /lili Valuable: Any additional degree higher than that required in the previous section /lili Professional experience not required but highly valuable any previous scientific in vitro diagnostic research experience. /lili Basic knowledge of biological and chemical laboratory procedures. Ability to operate laboratory equipment /lili Language: Fluency in Spanish or Catalan. Advanced knowledge of English (reading, speaking and writing) /lili Able to use and apply basic scientific principles, theories, and concepts /lili Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
