At Qaracter, we are looking for a SCADA HMI Designer / SCADA Front-End Engineer to join high-impact digital transformation projects within the water and utilities sector. This role is ideal for professionals who combine industrial process understanding, visual design skills, and technical knowledge of SCADA platforms to deliver intuitive, reliable, and high-performance operational interfaces.
#Front-End Configuration in SCADA Platforms
Connect graphical elements to OPC servers, native drivers, or databases
Adapt screens for control-room monitors, industrial HMIs, and touch panels
Operational UX & Industrial Design Standards
Apply High-Performance HMI and ISA design principles
Participate in FAT/SAT testing and screen tuning sessions
Work closely with control engineers, PLC programmers, data integrators, and OT managers
Support operations during commissioning and post-deployment adjustments
✔️ Understanding of industrial processes, especially in water, utilities, or similar environments
Familiarity with OPC/OPC-UA, industrial communication, and historian systems
Strong sense of UX for operational contexts
Full professional proficiency in Spanish and at least B1-B2 English
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OT, IT, engineering, data)
⭐ Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP, IoT protocols)
Experience participating in FAT/SAT or commissioning processes
UI/UX training for industrial environments
Background in engineering: industrial, automation, electronics, telecommunications, or industrial design
