Main mission:
The main purpose of the HDO is to guide the organization through the conceptualization processes of investment projects such as: renovations (complete or partial), new hotels (new constructions and management contracts) and styling decoration projects.
For this purpose, a process and methodology has been defined and the HDO team will be in charge of ensuring it, in addition to actively participating in the definition of the projects.
The Project Manager is the responsible for the development of detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

What will your day-to-day work be like?
Reporting to the Hotel Development Office Director,

our main responsibilities will include:
Design, with the HDO Project Leader, the project plan (tasks of analysis, design and development) including project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility to accomplish with the timeline.
Develop a detailed project performance tool and template (Smartsheet) to track progress for successful completion of short and long-term goals, controlling and managing possible deviations and evaluating progress.
Coordinate HDO internal resources for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation & reporting deliverables.
Who is the ideal person for this job?
The ideal person for this role has strong project management skills, solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, very good communication skills, analytical thinking and ability to work as a team player, excellent team player and a problem-solving aptitude, proactive, dynamic and organizational skills.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Economics or similar.
Highly Valuable: Masters or Certification in Project Management (PMP or similar).
Experience / Background:
At least 3 years of experience in a project management role (in new constructions or renovations projects), ideally in the hospitality sector.
Highly valued knowledge of the tourism sector.
Languages:
High level of spoken and written Spanish and English is a must (Advanced level B2+ / C1).
Tools:
Google Workspace G-Suite and familiarity with digital collaboration tools.
Strong working knowledge of Smartsheet desiderable.
