Overview Junior Test Automation Engineer at Verisk – Malaga, Andalucia, SpainResponsibilities Requires the skills to build and improve automated test cases, automate UAT operations tasks, and to evaluate, analyse, and perform quality assurance testing in coordination with our Locations in the US, Spain, and UK teams to meet all client needs or in internal projects.Design and improve how we develop, maintain, and run UAT/QA automated test cases.Build and support automation solutions for test scenarios and large amounts of test data in UAT.Develop and maintain, along with the team members, complex automated test data generation solutions.Work on multiple projects at the same time.Run automated test cases and test suites to certify builds, newly developed features, etc.Certify and sign off on stories/releases.Detail-oriented for end-to-end automation testing.Identify, log, and track defects.Join the agile team, attend their stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.Time management for critical task deliverables.Independently prioritize work and be self-motivated.Assessment and improvement of working methodologies (Lean Six Sigma) and processes.Education in IT or Computer Science.Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automation scripts.Experience in API testing automation.Ability to understand and analyse large volumes of data and identify anomalies and inconsistencies in the data.Understanding of SDLC methodologies and Software Testing Lifecycle.Understanding of test automation design patterns, automation lifecycle, and best practices.Experience working in a team with test automation frameworks (Playwright).Experience in the development of test data generation solutionson data analytics, back-end testing, and test case creation for customers.Fast learner and flexible to Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, and work with different Tools and Techniques.Be an advocate of Quality Assurance and Best Test Practices.Ability to work as a Team player with local and offshore teams.Ability to be self-motivated during strict deadlines and prioritize tasks.Demonstrate a good understanding of the Project Life Cycle and Agile Methodologies.Jira Experience to manage and track tasks.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written English.Some knowledge of SQL, Playwright, Postman, MS Access, Excel, and Confluence.Knowledge of the insurance MarketKnowledge of test automation results reporting, statistics processing, and monitoring.Qualifications Education in IT or Computer Science and hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automation scripts; experience in API testing automation; knowledge of SDLC and software testing lifecycle; experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright); ability to understand large data sets and identify anomalies.Company and Compliance For over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
