Location: Barcelona, Spain Type: Hybrid (Remote Onsite) Note: Occasional travel to client offices in the UK and US may be required Role Summary We’re seeking an Engineering Lead to architect and deliver a multichannel flight loyalty experience system across mobile (Flutter) and web (React) platforms. This is a greenfield build, from discovery and system design to deployment and optimisation, with deep integration across multiple backend systems and loyalty services. You’ll lead the technical strategy, hands-on development, and team coordination to create a seamless, scalable, and secure experience for millions of travellers. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, from discovery workshops to production deployment Architect and implement mobile (Flutter) and web (React) applications with shared design principles and performance goals Design and integrate with multiple backend systems, including loyalty engines, CRM platforms, and airline APIs Own the AWS infrastructure strategy, including IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and monitoring Collaborate with Product, UX, and Strategy teams to translate business goals into technical requirements Establish and enforce coding standards, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines Drive data integrity, security, and compliance across all touchpoints Mentor developers and foster a culture of technical excellence and autonomy Maintain a clear technical roadmap, balancing innovation with maintainability Required Tech Stack & Skills Proven experience leading full-stack development teams in multichannel environments Deep expertise in Flutter (mobile) and React (web) Strong backend knowledge: RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integration with loyalty platforms Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) Familiarity with event-driven architectures, serverless functions, and secure data flows Experience with technical discovery, stakeholder alignment, and documentation best practices Excellent communication skills—able to translate technical concepts for cross-functional teams Passion for user experience, performance optimisation, and clean architecture Nice-to-Have Skills Experience in travel tech, loyalty systems, or customer engagement platforms Familiarity with GraphQL, Kafka, or real-time data pipelines Contributions to open-source or technical communities Soft Skills Strong communicator able to simplify technical concepts for non-tech audiences High accountability in collaborative, distributed teams Proactive in identifying blockers and proposing solutions Comfortable leading workshops and decision-making sessions Curious, adaptable, and customer-experience oriented Some of the benefits you’ll enjoy working with us: The chance to join an organisation with triple-digit growth that is changing the paradigm on how software products are built.
