The Senior planner is responsible for managing and coordinating compliance-related activities and planned maintenance programs within Amazon Maintenance Operations Centre (AMOC). This role ensures regulatory compliance, oversees preventive maintenance schedules, manages vendor performance for planned works, and maintains comprehensive documentation of all compliance and planned maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance requirements and maintenance programs simultaneously while delivering exceptional stakeholder service.
Key job responsibilities
•Manage and coordinate planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programs across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements
•Monitor compliance deadlines for statutory inspections, certifications, and regulatory requirements
•Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and execute planned maintenance activities within required timeframes
•Track and manage compliance documentation, certificates, and inspection reports, ensuring all records are current and accessible
•Raise and manage work orders and purchase orders for planned maintenance activities, ensuring proper budget tracking and cost control
•Communicate proactively with stakeholders (Reliability Maintenance Engineering, Operations, Health & Safety, Compliance teams) regarding upcoming maintenance activities and compliance deadlines
•Identify potential compliance risks and escalate through appropriate channels to prevent regulatory violations
•Develop and maintain compliance calendars and planned maintenance schedules, providing regular status updates to leadership
•Manage vendor performance for planned maintenance contracts, ensuring quality standards and SLA compliance
•Conduct regular audits of maintenance records and compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
About the team
AMOC provides monitoring, facilities escalation management, vendor dispatch and tracking, documentation and resolution management for multiple Amazon business units with and without dedicated onsite maintenance personnel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
- Experience in facilities management
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills with ability to compose clear, detailed compliance reports and professional correspondence
- Experience with CMMS systems (APM, Maximo, SAP, etc.)
- Experience with KPI tracking or maintenance performance reporting
- Experience with contractor management and performance tracking
- Understanding health and safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and statutory maintenance obligations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage
- Programming capabilities in CMMS systems (APM, Maximo, SAP, etc.)
- Ability to create dashboards (Quick Sight, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
