AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS general infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
- SAFETY: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world‑class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
- Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs.
- Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
- Working rotating shifts (morning/late/night) as well as weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environment.
Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time. A valid (EU) driving license is required as Data Centers may not have any public transportation available nearby.
Location Requirements
Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited.
Work Schedule
This is a 100% onsite in-person position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure and data center industry. The position implies work on shift‑based schedule.

Basic Qualifications
- IT hardware troubleshooting related experience.
- Completed formal education/apprenticeship or training in IT related field.
- B1+ level of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in IT related field.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and in Data Center.
