**Interim Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance**:**Department: Manufacturing Maintenance**
**MISSION**:
This mission of this job to develop Mechanical expertise to perform high skills job for the Manufacturing facility in Cartagena, strengthening focus on mechanical integrity and ensure compliance to safety critical equipment/system maintenance requirements.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provide mechanical maintenance to rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers, extruders..) and mechanical seals.
- Responsible for the delivery of maintenance related first line troubleshooting, leading multidisciplinary problems, complex scoping, work instructions approval, use of best practices in mechanical shop and the timely and sufficient involvement of internal and external specialists.
- Daily support of Maintenance team and daily participant in Run&Maintain; Teams. This through enabling effective maintenance against minimum cost by optimising possible technical solutions and the costs involved.
- Lead evaluations of executed maintenance work and call-outs in order to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness. Improve the scope and quality of preventive/predictive maintenance in the Operation´s units.
- Support units and Maintenance in urgent replacement issues/-projects. Advise in scoping of big maintenance jobs/small projects and act as SABIC maintenance key contact for these.
- Provide support to preventive maintenance plans optimization (cost and effectiveness). Participates in RCA, RCM, RBI and hazard studies. Advise on equipment specs, standards and practices in cooperation with technical engineers and Asset Technology Centers.
- Responsible for the compliance to applicable engineering requirements and practices and to legal requirements and regulations with respect to safety, environment and hygiene.
- Perform responsibilities and duties intrinsic to the job with purpose of contributing to the performance of the organization and SABIC, as a whole.
- Lead initiatives to improve Maintenance performance
- Provide technical support to create / modify new spare parts, analyzing the different alternatives.
- Manage full deployment plan with frequent status update of SABIC Manufacturing Standards and Asset Management Program for the site.
- Review and attend the pink Cards and Pre Start-up meetings.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or other equivalent discipline.
- Sound knowledge Maintenance discipline and subsequent processes and systems (eg CMMS, SAP, etc)
- Preferably 3 - 5 years’ job experience within Industrial Maintenance.
- **Fluency in both written and oral Spanish and English**

- Capability and will to take ownership of improvements, and deliver effective change to the front line.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, including wide range of stakeholders, including site management teams.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Capability to proactively identify and prioritise value opportunities.
