With over a century of innovation, we provide reliable and fully customizable drivetrain solutions to customers around the world.About the RoleAs an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting Allison Transmission’s products and services to end-users across our Spain and Portugal markets, with a primary focus on Spain and a growing scope with the objective to develop market pull activities in Portugal.You'll develop long-term customer relationships with end-users, work with OEM partners and dealers, and drive revenue through value-based selling.This is a high-impact, field-based role reporting to the Director of European Area Sales .Frequent travel of approx. 50% / up to 60-70% in peak periods across the assigned region is required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and grow end-user sales primarily in Spain and additionally across Portugal.Build strategic, long-term relationships with fleet operators and key accounts to drive retention and conquest sales.Collaborate with regional OEM offices, importers, and dealers to strengthen sales channels and execute joint initiatives.Coordinate with marketing, customer support, and engineering teams to deliver an exceptional ownership experience.Represent Allison at trade shows, customer events, and industry forums.Maintain detailed account and contact data within the CRM (Allison 360), including reports and contact logs.Support local distributor / dealer sales programs and initiatives.Analyze market data, identify trends, and report on product performance and market share in key vocations.Success MetricsAchievement of annual roadmap and business development goalsFleet contract wins and retentionIncreased market penetration and product usage in target vocationsStrengthened OEM and dealer partnershipsSuccess in major tenders and sales programsRequired QualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related field5+ years of B2B Sales and Marketing experience with highly technical products or solutions, ideally in the automotive industry within the heavy vehicle, driveline, or commercial fleet segmentsSolid regional market knowledge and full language proficiency in both Spanish and English to fluent levelStrong familiarity with CRM and sales reporting toolsStrong consultative sales and value-based selling mindsetExcellent listening and communication skills to identify customer needs and pain pointsAbility to build trusted advisor relationships with end-users and key stakeholdersComfortable working independently across diverse markets and adapting to different industriesData-driven, analytical, and structured in market segmentation and reportingAdditional InformationThis is a field-based role with regular domestic and international travel (approx. 50% / up to 60-70% in peak periods).Attendance at trade shows, roadshows, and events will require some physical activity.You will work across multiple languages and cultural environments.Why work for Allison Transmission in EMEA?An international company with an inclusive multicultural teamGlobal Inclusion and Diversity initiativesEmployee Resource GroupsA CSR mindful organisationWith opportunities for employee volunteering activities and a platform to support charitable givingFocus on employee Health & WellbeingEmployee Assistance Platform to support mental health and positive work life balanceHealth and Wellness PlatformLearning and DevelopmentAccess to LinkedIn Learning training libraryGlobal learning and development programsAllison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
