We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at one of the most celebrated restaurants in the Balearic Islands.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading the kitchen team to deliver exceptional Mediterranean dishes, made with the finest seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
* Creating and evolving a menu that celebrates the very best of Mediterranean flavours, from fresh seafood to vibrant vegetables and aromatic herbs.
* Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
* Managing kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and keeping within budget without compromising on quality.
* Leading by example, inspiring your team to work efficiently and effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.
* Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating during service, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
* Working closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience that showcases the Mediterranean spirit.
* Developing, training, and mentoring the kitchen team, fostering a culture of creativity, skill development, and teamwork.
* Keeping up to date with food trends, techniques, and innovations, while maintaining a strong respect for traditional Mediterranean cooking.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience : Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume restaurant, ideally with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine. You’ve led a team through busy services and maintained exceptional standards.
* Creativity : A flair for creating innovative and seasonal Mediterranean dishes that leave guests coming back for more.
* Leadership : Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your kitchen team while managing kitchen operations seamlessly.
* Passion for Mediterranean Food : A deep love and understanding of Mediterranean food and culture, with the ability to showcase this through your cooking.
* Attention to Detail : You have a meticulous approach to everything – from food preparation and presentation to kitchen cleanliness and team management.
* Team Player : You thrive in a collaborative environment and know how to nurture and develop your team to perform at their best.
* Ability to Thrive Under Pressure : You’re calm and efficient even when the kitchen is at its busiest, and you can think on your feet to solve problems quickly.
* Fluency in English (Spanish or Catalan is a bonus, but not required).
