Amadeus is seeking a Principal UX Designer to lead the strategy, vision, and execution of user experiences across our HOS design and product teams. The role focuses on defining and delivering innovative, scalable solutions for complex B2B and B2C hospitality products in the mid‑market segment, balancing visionary thinking with hands‑on design execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end design process for major initiatives, from concepts and user flows to wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.
- Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling user experiences that deliver real value.
- Push creative boundaries and challenge the status quo to drive innovation across products and platforms.
- Champion a user‑first approach, fostering an empathetic, accessible, data‑driven design culture.
- Plan, conduct, and analyze user research to uncover insights.
- Apply research findings to continuously refine user experiences.
- Facilitate design workshops and sprints to align teams.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Researchers to define strategies, roadmaps, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal design teams, including the Design Factory and HOS Platform, for consistency.
- Mentor and guide junior designers.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and design excellence.
- Contribute to the broader Amadeus UX community by sharing knowledge and thought leadership.
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of experience designing digital products within large, complex ecosystems;
5+ years in cross‑functional environments.
- Proven experience designing B2B products.
- Strong track record leading product discovery and delivery through iterative cycles.
- Skilled at collaborating with general, distributed teams.
- Deep UX and research expertise, customer‑first and data‑informed.
- Proficiency in Figma, Jira, and Miro.
- Excellent communication skills, presenting ideas to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, bringing clarity to complex challenges.
