Software Application Engineer to become a part of the software CS team to support our customers.
What we offer : About the role :
The main role of the Software Application Engineer CS is to ensure our current systems are performing according to customer needs by providing customer support with our latest software applications or previous platforms. Responsibilities include implementing modernizations, upgrades, and supporting our customers.
Working within a team of Software Application Engineers, you will provide on-call service to clients for emergencies outside office hours. The role also involves software development after identifying areas for modification in existing systems. Additionally, travel may be required to customer sites for deploying new software extensions/upgrades or training purposes.
Key Responsibilities :
* Implement modernizations to enhance the customer’s software experience.
* Recommend and execute upgrades to maintain high performance.
* Test and identify areas for system performance improvements.
* Participate in customer support activities, including on-call service (24x7).
* Develop software solutions for Dematic’s automated intralogistics systems.
* Integrate software components and third-party programs.
* Visit customer sites for new system implementations and training.
Tasks and Qualifications :
Knowledge and experience required
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Basic Skills :
* Proficiency in JAVA, JEE, Oracle PL-SQL.
* Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming.
* Knowledge of design patterns.
* Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle), SQL, and ORM technologies.
* Experience with hardware maintenance (servers, PCs).
* Experience in warehouse logistics systems (Warehouse Management / Warehouse Control Systems) is a plus.
Competences :
* Excellent teamwork skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Willingness to travel 20-30%.
* Proficiency in English.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
