We are currently selecting a Firmware Engineer (Mid-Level) for a pioneering start-up that creates lightweight, quick to adjust, and accessible robotic exoskeletons for rehabilitation, located in Barcelona.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Firmware Engineer with a background in Robotics, Firmware Engineering or Computer Science to join our R&D team and drive the development of cutting‐edge robotic exoskeleton technology.
Responsibilities
* Embedded programming and SW optimization on single-board computers.
* Identify and solve technical problems and system limitations, collaborating with the team.
* Analyse, design and perform software validation tests.
* Implement and improve protocols for data exchange with peripherals (sensors, motors).
* Design and implement motion control techniques.
* Provide maintenance, support and enhancements in existing firmware versions.

Requirements
* Two years of experience in Firmware Engineering field (preferably robotics).
* Hands‐on experience with Python and C++.
* Experience working with Raspberry Pi or similar SBC environments.
* Familiarity with common communication protocols like UART, SPI or I2C for data exchange between robot components.
* Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
* Problem solving mindset.
* Teamwork and proactivity.
