**Project Portfolio Management**
Vestas Mediterranean (MED) is an independent Sales Business Unit (SBU) within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, covering markets in the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and Africa. Vestas MED is responsible for developing these markets in terms of sales, project installation, and customer service. Iberia is a cluster part of MED region.
The Customer Project Execution department is in charge of the construction of wind projects installation and commissioning of the wind turbines (supply & installation) and EPC under contracts sold by the sales department.
The job is to support and manage the completion of specified Wind Farm Projects (EPC or Supply and Installation) within the constraints of time, cost, quality, and safety against contractual obligations. Key areas of focus include under exertion (planning, tracking and reporting), contracts management and implementation, resource planning and management, site liaison, client relationship development and coordination, contractor / sub contractor management, and active risk management.
They will also be involved in tendering processes related to subcontractor pricing, technical analysis, and sales support.
Reporting to the Customer Project Execution Director, and supporting the Project Manager the profile is expected to fulfill:
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise fulfillment of safety and environment procedures related to projects, from awareness to auditing process in order to guarantee service level agreements and compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Secure customer relationship, leading to increased customer satisfaction.
- management in projects related correspondence, meetings, negotiations
- Ensure the key targets for each project including profitability, cash flow and time.
- Develop and monitor projects time plans as well as establish action and recovery plans to ensure compliance with internal targets and customer/ contract expectations
- Guarantee the right reporting and forecasting of time progress and financial performance of each project with transparency, reliability and accuracy.
- Strive for improving on-time and even early completion of the projects to maximize Customer satisfaction and financials.
- Ensure the establishment of the project execution vision & strategy, based on the contract, in order to reach the project performance goals.
- Ensure that projects communication is adequately handled internally and externally.
- Implement Vestas project coordination and site installation processes and procedures
- Seek for continuous improvement by proposing relevant methods and tools
- Get involved in developing the procurement strategy of projects, selection and assessment of suppliers and ensure sub contracts' compliance with projects requirements and contract/ customer expectations
- Provide support in the tendering phase by delivering support to the Bid Management (input to pre-calculations, scope & risk assessments, sites organization, negotiations, etc...)
**Qualifications**:
- Will have at least 3 years of experience in construction/engineering, particularly in the wind industry or in the energy sector.
- An Engineering degree is beneficial.
- Experience in installation and EPC contracts, especially in export and international.
- Financial and contract management skills.
- Good communicator within teams.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English. Other languages such as French, Portuguese, or Rumanian would be beneficial.
