We are seeking a Senior Category Manager to strategically source Food Services for our global Customer Fulfillment network. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. They will work with multiple teams to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, deliver savings, and improve productivity across the category.
Key job responsibilities
1. Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts to optimize Amazon's competitive position.
2. Drive relationships with category suppliers to achieve the optimal solution and cost of ownership, supported by a culture of continuous improvement and performance benchmarks.
3. Manage suppliers proactively to identify, monitor, and optimize opportunities.
4. Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories, anticipate strategic opportunities, and keep stakeholders informed.
5. Drive supplier relationship management activities to mitigate risk, improve performance, and add value.
6. Identify, achieve, and report on savings and sustainability targets for category sourcing activities.
7. Align with internal customers, understand business applications, and build category metrics to track performance.
You will deliver low-cost, innovative, and sustainable service solutions to support our Operations teams and ensure continuity of service supply. Collaboration with external suppliers and internal partners is essential. You may need to adapt roles from strategy development to project management to meet customer needs. Focus on deep-diving into categories to unlock value and deploy services at scale for Operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, data links)
* Experience in supply chain
* Experience leading large, complex negotiations
* Experience working cross-functionally with non-tech teams
* Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in program or project management
* Experience in complex problem solving and working under tight schedules
* Ownership of program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
