We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a cloud platform team focused on building a large-scale Telemetry Router service for secure, high-volume data collection, transformation, and routing.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software engineering, observability, cloud-native systems, and SRE, with real ownership across the full lifecycle of the product.
What you will do
* Design and build a cloud-native Telemetry Router service focused on collecting, transforming, and securely routing high volumes of telemetry data
* Evolve the system architecture by identifying and integrating relevant open-source technologies, including tools related to logs, metrics, and traces
* Develop Kubernetes Operators to automate the lifecycle and configuration of the service
* Build and maintain REST APIs that allow users to manage telemetry routing and data transformation programmatically
* Work in a You Build It, You Run It environment, taking ownership from development through to operational reliability
* Act as a strong link between software engineering and SRE practices
* Analyze complex data flows and pipelines to ensure integrity, compliance, performance, and long-term scalability
* Identify bottlenecks and implement durable technical improvements across the platform
What we are looking for
* Strong background in Software Engineering with a genuine interest in cloud-native observability, data pipelines, and SRE
* Solid hands-on experience with Go and Kubernetes
* Experience building or working with Kubernetes Operators is highly valuable
* Comfortable owning the full software development lifecycle end to end
* Interest in or exposure to frameworks related to high-performance telemetry transformation, such as Vector
* Good understanding of telemetry data structures and how to optimize routing for integrity, efficiency, and cost control
* Awareness of security, auditing, and compliance requirements around event and telemetry data in cloud environments
* Curiosity for new technologies such as OpenTelemetry and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with the wider team
Why this role stands out
* Opportunity to work on a deeply technical cloud platform product with strong engineering ownership
* Real impact on how telemetry data is captured, transformed, and routed at scale
* Strong mix of backend engineering, infrastructure automation, and observability
* A chance to work in an environment where reliability, scalability, and technical quality are core priorities
