About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Gameplay Animator with strong Unreal Engine 5 experience to join our team on a full-time contract basis (2–4 months).
This role focuses on gameplay-driven animations with cinematic quality — not pre-rendered cinematics, but real-time, responsive, polished in-engine animations that elevate player experience.
You will work closely with design, tech, and gameplay teams to deliver immersive, high-impact character animations fully integrated inside UE5.
Responsibilities
* Create high-quality gameplay animations directly for Unreal Engine 5
* Implement, polish, and optimize animations in UE5 (Animation Blueprints, State Machines, Blend Spaces, Montages)
* Collaborate with gameplay designers to ensure responsiveness and feel
* Fine-tune animation timing, weight, transitions, and combat readability
* Ensure animations meet both cinematic and gameplay clarity standards
* Work within existing pipelines and maintain performance targets
Requirements
* Strong professional experience working inside Unreal Engine 5
* Proven experience shipping gameplay animations (not just cinematic work)
* Deep understanding of:
* Animation Blueprints
* Root motion vs in-place workflows
* State machines & blending
* Gameplay responsiveness & player feedback
* Strong sense of weight, timing, and physicality
* Ability to iterate quickly based on gameplay feedback
* Portfolio showing gameplay animation work implemented in-engine
Nice to Have
* Combat animation experience
* Experience working on third-person action titles
* Motion capture cleanup & polish experience
* Understanding of gameplay systems integration
