About The Role
Full-time Senior Consultant within FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice in MadridWe focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional tests faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholdersCandidates are required to have at least 4 years relevant work experience in Restructuring / Turnaround / Corporate Finance team, preferably with leading advisory firm, investment bank or major corporation.
What You'll Do
Day-to-day project management, including:
Supporting the structuring of the engagement approach, scope, and deliverables.Communicating with external stakeholders to keep them informed about progress, initial observations, and issues.Coaching and supporting junior team members with challenges and problems.Forming initial views on the engagement to discuss and validate with Lead Managing Director or Senior Managing Director.Taking responsibility for delivering a substantial part of the client deliverable, ensuring it meets quality standards and client expectations.Building and nurturing personal networks both inside and outside the organization, fostering long-term professional relationships.

Basic Qualifications
What You Will Need to Succeed
Ability to work in a meritocratic structure which recognizes and rewards individual contributionExcellent report writing and analytical skillsGood knowledge of Excel and manipulation/analysis of diverse data setsExperience in financial modelling is a mustSelf-starter and inquisitiveTeam playerStrong communication skills both written and spokenAbility to manage time and prioritise tasks effectivelyFluent in Spanish and English
Preferred Qualifications
Business Administration, Finance and / or Engineering Studies4 years post qualification experienceRelevant corporate restructuring experience either on behalf of creditors or distressed corporatesExperience in delivering restructuring/advisory workExperience of managing junior team members (C and Analyst)Previous experience in report writing and / or drafting sections of larger reportsExperience of discussing and presenting findings to either clients, other stakeholders or senior internal team membersBackground:
Investment banking or Private Equity with excellent financial background and modeling skills (e.G. M&A and debt and equity financing experience)Corporate Finance boutique or Big-4 audit firm or financial advisory firm, ideally with financial/ debt restructuring focus, refinancing, working capital managementRestructuring / turnaround firm or specialized top consulting boutiquesAdditional experience from corporate functions are a plus (Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Project Finance, Investor Relations, etc.)
