Assist and support Associate Director Statutory & Tax and ATC Audit Manager in all statutory and tax requirement related to the day-to-day activity of the Spanish legal entities, as well as in VAT and corporate Income Tax (CIT) planning and execution. Responsible for direct supervision and support of the statutory team accounting clerks to ensure overall Statutory tasks and goals are completed and met including coaching, training, monitoring and review of work performed.

Responsibilities
* Ensure guidance and instructions from Associate Director Statutory & Tax and ATC Audit Manager are followed.
* Identify and highlight potential tax, statutory and operational risks to the Associate Director Statutory & Tax and ATC Audit Manager as well as train the statutory accounting clerks to identify any issues.
* Manage all VAT and Intercompany reporting requirements for the Spanish entities, ensuring all critical tasks are performed by the relevant due dates.
* Review Intercompany Analysis monthly to ensure intercompany transactions are correctly categorised.
* Prepare quarterly Intercompany Matrices to ensure intercompany transactions are fully reconciled and aligned with Intercompany Agreements;
report on any new unsupported transactions.
* Prepare transfer pricing validations and review the annual transfer pricing report;
prepare, submit and reconcile Tax Return 232.
* Supervise the preparation and presentation of VAT returns with full reconciliation to SII reported invoices and VAT control accounts.
* Supervise reverse charging / self-invoices for Intercompany services for inclusion in the VAT return.
* Supervise the preparation and reconciliation of VAT bases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations;
coordinate with relevant teams for data collection and discrepancy resolution.
* Implement improvements in P&L analysis to automate and increase efficiency, reducing reclassification entries due to mapping.
* Implement reporting improvements to reduce manual work and duplication of effort.
* Prepare intercompany loan analysis and interest calculations;
manage new vendor notifications and documentation to ensure correct VAT percentages are applied to new vendors;
work with Accounts Payable on new vendor setups.
* Adhere to agreed process timelines;
implement reporting improvements and recording processes to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.
* Collaborate with other departments, on-site and off-site, internal and external to MVCI to improve processes, procedures & controls to achieve goals.
* CIT & Statutory FS supporting information as necessary;
develop relationships with corporate and regional financial staff, auditors and tax authorities.
* Participate in identifying opportunities to achieve operating efficiencies and strengthen internal controls;
maintain a strong control environment with adherence to internal controls and SOPs.

* Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately;
follow company safety and security policies to maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
* Follow property procedures for emergencies (evacuations, medical emergencies, disasters);
protect privacy and security of coworkers;
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
* Follow company policies on nametags, personal appearance, asset protection, and all department procedures.
* Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and comply with MVWC policies.
Other Department Related Duties
* Assist in other areas of the Statutory department as required and perform duties to meet department needs;
be punctual, wear name tag and professional dress, and meet deadlines.
* Be proactive and flexible, maintain excellent service to customers and associates, and collaborate with MVWC colleagues as a team.
* Develop career potential by fostering education and process improvement within the accounting department.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required.
* Related Work Experience: 2 years of accounting work experience required;
strong knowledge of Local GAAP and Spain Tax requirements;
experience managing andunderstanding legal and tax administrative documentation;
ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision;
supervisory experience preferable.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in PC-based applications (Excel, Word, etc.);
experience with GeneralLedger systems (PeopleSoft or similar) preferred;
ability to analyze all accounting statements.
* Languages: Spanish and English proficiency.
Work Environment

Reports to the Manager Accounting Tax & Compliance;
interfaces with regional finance teams, auditors, tax advisors and other departments.
