We are looking for a designer with experience in exhibition and experiential design who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional results.
What You’ll Do:
Design & Development (60%)
1. Take ownership of exhibition and room environment design projects from initial concept to final execution, ensuring creativity, originality, and attention to detail.
2. Meet with clients to understand the purpose, theme, and intended audience of the exhibition, conference, or stand-alone event.
3. Develop compelling scaled floor plans/elevations, mood boards, and detailed 3D models of exhibition spaces, stage sets, room environments and displays that reflect client objectives and brand identity.
4. Develop concepts and layouts for exhibitions and room environments, including signage, booths, stage sets, banners, and other visual displays.
5. Produce detailed engineering drawings and specifications of all exhibition display components and technical show services, including rigging, lighting plans and AV installations.
6. Create detailed mockups, 3D renderings, and presentations for client approval.
7. Collaborate with graphic designers, suppliers, multimedia specialists, and other professionals to incorporate various elements into the design.
8. Ensure the exhibition design complies with venue, congress and health and safety regulations.
9. Select and source materials, furnishings, and props.
10. Review the exhibition to assess visitor engagement and make necessary adjustments.
11. Manage materials selection, production specifications, and assist with budgeting to ensure the integrity of designs are maintained throughout production.
12. Manage allocated budget, timelines, and logistics to ensure successful project execution.
Collaboration & Project Management (40%)
13. Collaborate effectively with design leadership and project teams to facilitate the seamless progression of all projects through the creative pipeline.
14. Facilitate clear and effective communication between all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors.
15. Ensure the fulfillment of project goals by monitoring progress and addressing any issues that emerge during the design and production phases.
16. Lead and participate in project meetings to ensure alignment with client and team expectations.
17. Coordinate with the project manager to track progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions.
18. Foster a collaborative and creative working environment to enhance team productivity and satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience
19. 3+ years of professional experience in exhibition, architectural or experiential design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
21. Fluency in English language mandatory (native or C2 level)
22. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a keen eye for detail and meeting deadlines.
23. Strong experience with Cinema4D and/or Vector Worx, Strata, and AutoCAD
24. Proactive, positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
25. Valid passport for occasional travel to shows and events.
Desired Skills & Experience
26. Deep understanding of the trade show exhibit design process, including experience with guiding the design and fabrication teams through rendering development, material selection, and production.
27. Strong knowledge of design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, Sketchup), with an ability to produce clear, detailed design documents and presentations.
28. Experience in client-facing environments, with a proven track record of turning client feedback into actionable design solutions.
29. A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute creatively and efficiently within a team while managing individual tasks.
