**IDIBELL is opening a R3A position for **a researcher in the field of Real World Data Science**
Data Science is of increasing interest in the field biomedical sciences. We aim at strengthening IDIBELL capabilities and fostering synergies with other researchers already in campus buy atracting a talented established researcher in the field in order to create a new research group.
**About the role**
- Contribute differently and provide high added value to research work
- Lead academic publications in relevant journals in their field of expertise (Q1).
- Publish as the last author, co-author or as the author of correspondence in the publications he / she directs.
- Lead research projects at the national and international level.
- Obtain stable funding for your own line of research through resources outside the institution.
- Establish networking and generate networks of collaborators (national and international) in their field of expertise. Participate in network or consortium projects.
- Lead, train and support the development of predoctoral (R1) and postdoctoral (R2) researchers and other members of their team.
- Contribute to the organization of conferences, symposia, workshops, conferences, etc., which will help you to position yourself as a leading researcher in your field of expertise.
- Communicate and disseminate its results to the research community and society in general effectively.
- Generate a good work climate with your colleagues within IDIBELL.
- Comply with the IDIBELL Good Practice Guide.
- Identify with the strategic objectives of IDIBELL and conduct its research activity in line with the values of the institution.
**Job requirements**
- PhD in sciences
- Strong background in the field with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Strong record of publications and projects.
- Soft skills: project planning, analytical and critical thinking, ethics and integrity, leadership, information seeking and management.
- At least 5 years of team management experience
- Good command of the English language

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
