Role and responsibilitiesThe Asset Manager plays a key role in implementing the new construction and maintenance model and strategy. Has accountability for the overall construction and maintenance service provider delivery, safety, legal compliance, relationship, cost management and performance management. The Asset Manager shall be accountable for the appointment of all the projects, inspection, testing and maintenance contracts, contract delivery and performance. The asset manager shall have a good awareness of legislative and business requirements and be responsible for defining a contractual scope of supply that shall be procured and delivered within agreed contract time span. Asset Managers are responsible for contract scope of supply and should be competent to define, performance manage and deliver service level agreements for in-service equipment within scope, planification and control of the works health and safety performance, financial remuneration and budget control and performance management. Asset Managers shall be responsible for maintenance contract delivery and may act as second level business contact in event of an escalation.
Key Accountabilities
Accountability for the for supporting retail asset management through the delivery of construction, maintenance of projects and programs in compliance with applicable regulations, permits, licenses and stated legislative requirements with an efficient balance of cost, quality and time, in order to maximize the value of BP's retail network.
Accountability for the overall maintenance service provider delivery, relationship, cost management and performance management.
Perform inspection, testing and maintenance in line with inspection and maintenance strategy. Safety Core Role.
Manage and control maintenance and construction suppliers through effective communication and leadership and regular program meetings, site visits, meetings and feedback. Escalation of performance issues.
Implement and Apply BP Integrity Management Standards
Ensure site risks, potential causes and potential consequences are considered in Projects through formal risk review studies.
Ensure that lessons learned from previous projects and from the operation of existing sites are fed-back to the design phase of new projects, in order to reduce the total cost of ownership.
Manage delivery and verification of all HSSE standards, targets and reporting procedures including Project and Contractors HSSE Plans.
Cost Management for reactive and planned works (CAPEX and Revex). Define and analyze targets. Creation of reports and monitoring.
Leads CoW– monitoring the work area during the tasks. Implement SIP (Safety improvement plan).
Coordination of the reactive activities and budgets with operations.
Perform self-verification activity undertaken on inspection, testing and maintenance contracts and work
Perform regular visits to the Retail sites to ensure the coordination with operations and with contractors Approx. 50%. Co-Ordinator for all activity on site aligning all Simultaneous activities.
Implement and Apply BP Integrity Management Standards
Accountable for the management and delivery of any electronic maintenance management system requirements.
Recommend training requirements for retail filling station site staff, Operations and Assurance roles.
Support Projects manager to implement different projects at local level.
Provide input on assurance processes relating to equipment and maintenance.
Additional responsibilities
Asset managers play a key role as Job Representative included in the Working with contractor's framework, assuming the following responsibilities:
Provide support to the contractor account manager according to the M&C Europe framework with contractors.
Responsible for the correct execution of the work by the contractor at the service station.
Responsible for appointing an area authority for M&C work at service stations under his responsibility.
Provide the necessary resources to implement and operate under the work control framework.
Confirm that there are defined processes to adequately evaluate the work according to the planning and scheduling requirements of the work control framework.
Establish a process that clearly communicates what procedures and policies will be followed for the application of the work control framework when necessary.
Conduct CoW audits of bp actives contractors' work in accordance with the risk level of the work and the contractor's CoW management system.
Confirm that appropriate processes are followed to ensure that work is done with sufficient resources in accordance with the planned scope of work and in a safe manner
Provide information in accident investigations and MOC (Management of Change) linked to the COW framework when necessary.
Will be responsible for collecting, integrating and sharing lessons learned when necessary.
Audit jobs to check that jobs are delivered in accordance with the European and local CoW model.
Ensure that there is prior planning and execution of the work, as well as the existence of a specific risk assessment (TRA – Task Risk Assessment).
What you will need to be successful
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering is essential.
Proven work experience related to maintenance contacts management and project management.
Track record in programme, maintenance management, preventative maintenance and digital enabling tools will be an advantage.
A high degree of autonomy is required in decision-making and in planning daily work, prioritizing tasks and resolving incidents.
Experience in petrol forecourt construction and maintenance.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Native level proficiency of Spanish language.
