About The Role
As a Senior Fluid Systems Engineer you will report to the Sr Manager Reactor and Safety Systems and be located at our HQ in Madrid. This is a full-time hybrid position.
Main Responsibilities
Perform thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design
Develop pump, valve, tank, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications
Identify technical issues and propose practical solutions for assigned projects and tasks.
Support engineering staff in multiple design and analysis activities.
Coordinate with other disciplines, including I&C, electrical, civil/structural, licensing, and layout, across diverse projects and design changes.
Communicate progress, technical challenges, and result to the technical lead and project management.
Collaborate with construction, I&C, electrical, and operations teams, representing the discipline both internally and externally.
Participate in customer, vendor, and regulatory meetings, presenting technical material and explaining design decisions.
Complete work within defined scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear).
We value a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering.
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency with MathCad, MATLAB, VBA, FATHOM or ARROW.
Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ASHRAE, NFP or API standards.
Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum B2 or equivalent).
Ability to travel to Westinghouse or customer sites (international travel included).
