We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join a product engineering team at a multinational company based in Barcelona. The role focuses on owning quality across a shared frontend component library, covering everything from test strategy to automation and release confidence.

This is not a manual testing role. We are looking for someone with an engineering mindset applied to quality: someone who can design scalable automation solutions, embed quality practices early in the development cycle, and build a quality-first culture the whole team can rely on.

What you'll do

• Define and drive the QA strategy, establishing testing standards and quality gates.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable automated testing frameworks.
• Lead end-to-end testing using Playwright as the primary automation tool.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable feedback.
• Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering to identify risks and embed quality early.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or similar.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Solid software development background in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Proven ownership of quality as the sole QA within a team or productarea.
• Professional English is amust

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Frontend Developer.
• Knowledge of React and/or Angular.
• Experience integrating Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines.
